Samba drum and dance in Bristol.Samba News Bristol!

Recent performances

We’ve had a great end to 2017 with a busy month for performances. We’ve played at North Street Fair, Totterdown Front Room Arts Trail, Bedminster Lantern Parade, Westbury on Trym Christmas Fayre and finished off with a busk in Bristol city centre. The busk gained us a booking in August 2018 when we’re going to play at Funland Tropicana, a pop up fair ground in Weston Super Mare.

Drum and dance classes

Our drum class has been going strong. We’ve got a of material sorted now and Jordan has more things for us to learn in 2018. We start back on Weds 10th January at Horfield CEVC primary school. More info here.
We’re always pleased to see new people. Please help by sharing the poster shown on the right (click for full size version).
We would like to restart the dance classes in early 2018. We’ve had 6 people contact us via email to express and interest plus a few of our existing dancers who would like to restart. If we can get 6 people to sign up for a block of 5 or 10 weeks then it will be viable. If you’re interested then please use this form orĀ  contact us.

2018 festivals

We’re busy applying to various festivals for 2018. We’ve also put an application in for the Glasgow Encontro 2018 which has a 50% chance of success. Since everyone enjoyed the busking so much we’ll probably do some more in March or thereabouts.

Have a great Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the new year for more fun and games.
Thanks from
Tom, Lucy and Rachel.
